FAREWELL CALL ON SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC (JOGORKU KENESH) BY AMBASSADOR OF INDIA H.E. MR. JAYANT KHOBRAGADE
The Ambassador of India to the Kyrgyz Republic called on Speaker of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Chynybay Tursunbekov on 31 January 2017 on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission.
The Press Release issued by the office of the Speaker states:
Speaker of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic (Jogorku Kenesh) H.E. Mr. Chynybay Tursunbekov today, i.e. on 31 January, 2017 received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to the Kyrgyz Republic Jayant Khobragade on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission.
The sides discussed the current state and future prospects of Kyrgyzstan-Indian cooperation, as well as number of other issues of mutual interest. In particular, participants of the meeting expressed their intention to increase and deepen the relations in the sphere of exchange of experience in building parliamentary cooperation and in the areas such as tourism, health, culture, trade and economic cooperation.
The speaker expressed satisfaction with the evolving dynamics of mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation between the two countries. The speaker praised the work of Ambassador Jayant Khobragade aimed at the promotion of the Kyrgyz-Indian relations. H.E. Mr.Tursunbekov also expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his contribution to the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries during his diplomatic mission, which has brought the two countries quite close to each other.
H.E. Mr. Tursunbekov wished Ambassador Khobragade success in his future activities. "I hope that with the arrival of your successor, we will achieve the same high level of performance that have been achieved during the period of your diplomatic activity", - he said.
The parties discussed in detail the issue of granting of visas to the Indian citizens by the Kyrgyz Republic. The Speaker stressed the policies should correspond to the high level of trust and relations between the countries and to minimize bureaucratic obstacles.
In turn, Ambassador Jayant Khobragade thanked for the warm reception and noted that he was fortunate to work in a hospitable Kyrgyzstan and stressed that he is leaving Kyrgyzstan with fond memories. The Ambassador briefed on the main results and achievements during his tenure as head of the diplomatic mission.
At the end of the meeting the sides stressed the need for further expansion of the entire spectrum of bilateral and multilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and India.
