Kyrgyz Film "Under Heaven" Shares Best Asian Film Award with Indian Film "Thithi" at Bangaluru International Film Festival



The film Under Heaven directed by Dalmira Tilepbergenova shared the Best Asian Film award with an Indian film Thithi in the category of Asian Cinema Competition at the Bengaluru International Film Festival among 12 films from countries including Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Philippines, Iran, India, Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan.
The 8th Bengaluru International Film Festival commenced on January 28 and concluded on February 4 simultaneously in Bengaluru and Mysore.
The film festival is an annual event and is supported by the government of Karnataka. This year the event featured more than 170 films from 60 countries.
The movie Under Heaven is a modern version of the biblical story of Cain and Abel occurred in a remote mountain village of Central Asia.
