MASTER CLASSES OF KATHAK BY DANCE TEACHER FROM ICC, ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN
(Issyk-Kul, 13 to 23 July 2014)

           Kathak dance teacher from the Indian Cultural Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan, Ms. Lyailya Omarova conducted master classes of Indian classical dance Kathak during the 5th International Summer Creative Session “Issyk-Kul Gathers Friends” in the Children’s Health Complex “Barchyn” in Sary-Oi Village of Issyk-Kul Oblast from 13 to 23 July 2014.

The Camp was organized by the National Educational Center of Aesthetic Education, Balazhan, Bishkek. Around 450 young students participated in the Summer Camp from different regions of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia. Ms. Lyailya imparted training in basics of Kathak dance and taught Rajasthani Folk dance. The participants showed great enthusiasm in learning about the Indian culture. Ms. Lyailya Omarova was one of the juries of the First International Competition of Children's Art "Issyk-Kul Gathers Friends".
